Products to review

Wow we have had a couple of companies that have offered to get us to trial their products for free to show how well they work!

This should be very interesting.
I have one hairy hubby that will make a great guinea pig, as he also hates pain!

Will keep you updated on what happens.

Update on my trial of the e-one

Ok so it is two weeks since I went for the trial of the e-one.

I think it needed to be on a higher level, as I honestly cannot see much of a results from where it was tested on my leg. ( it was only a tiny patch approx 6cm a 10xm) and was on the lowest setting.
I have not shaved since then so I should be able to see the patch that was done.
My hair is fair on my legs and not exactly hairy either.

Waiting to see results is the reason I have yet to purchase the unit.
But I think I will give it at least a 6 months trial and find out!

I also find it a little off putting that neither their forum, nor the facebook page is ever really updated.
I have posted a few posts in the forum but after weeks they still are not showing and I wonder how many other posts are also not showing. Is it due to them being flat out, or too many spam comments to go through?
I know the crap spam comments I get here leading to date me and adult sites is annoying.

But real comments are welcome as are questions.

I do however get more information from the UK facebook page as well as great feedback from them in regards to the joules it uses and have been doing more research with the different  light pulses, duration etc to get an idea of how the systems all work, as the joules is not the only thing to look at.

Valentine's Day Special E-one

Yay the special is now up on their site.

E-One Trial

So Yesterday I went and met Aurelien COURSODON at their office in Brisbane.
While they are still setting up their office the meeting went well.

He explained how the machine works and then tested it on my leg and my husbands arm on the low setting.
All that I felt was a warm sensations similar to haveing a teaspoon placed on your arm after making coffee.
Quite comfortable, and my skin type is a 2. It does go up to a 5.
While I am not lily white, I am not real tanned either.

The controls and setting are all pretty straight forward and seem to be easy to do and understand.

Now I am waiting for the Valentines day special he was talking about which includes an extra set of

  • 1 pen and pencil sharpener
  • 1 Safety Glasses
  • 1 guide plate
  • 1 Cleaning spray
  • 1 Adhesive patches set
  • 1 optical gel

All for the special current price of $2495 AUD

E-One Visit and test tomorrow

So tomorrow I have an appointment to go into Brisbane and see it in the shop.
I had a lovely chat on the phone today from Aurelien the sales manager, after I left a message last night.
It was great to get a phone call and an email.

He was extremely helpful on the phone and allayed my fears that not only is this alot of money, but assured me that this machine in its strength is at least 5 times more powerful than the viss. Which he explained had been tested in France. It seems they test every new home device that comes onto the market to see what it really is like.

This machine comes with a 6 months money back guarantee and a 2 year warranty.

There are lots of helpful video's on the site, and the most positive is the fact that it is made in France, has been tested over 3 years, is the only TGA registered and certified home laser treatment for medical use.
It is not a cosmetic machine, but the real thing with lots of safety features.

For those just starting to look. here is the link to E-one

Tomorrow I will let you know if it hurts, and we will see how hubby goes, he is the bigger sook with these things.

TGA registration

France Cosmetic is proud to announce that the E-One is registered  by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration for the safe treatment of Hirsutism (excessive hair growth). The device is listed on Australian Register of Theraputic Goods (ARTG) under ref #167727.

International certification

Medical CE - 93/42/ECC
ISO 9001 – 2000
ISO 13485 – 2003

Medical certification

Any device that is available for purchase in Europe is required to bear a CE logo, this logo is verification that the product has been thoroughly tested and is safe to use for the general public.  However, it is unfortunately common to find many companies affixing a CE logo on their own accord to the product without any safety tests.
In Europe, when it comes to devices that are designed to interact with the body, a different kind of CE certification is required: a Medical CE.  The approval process for a Medical CE includes an extra set of requirements compared to the normal CE certification process.  These extra requirements are designed offer the end user an assurance that the product they are using (providing it is used within the recommended guidelines) is completely safe.
A Medical CE can only be issued by approved authorities; these authorities are worldwide, independent, accredited organizations (ie. SGS and Veritas).  Due to the separation of duties, the manufacturer cannot have any influence upon the Medical CE application process.
The E-One hair removal device is the only home-use IPL device in the world to possess a Medical CE mark. The device was able to pass the stringent requirements of a Medical CE due to the high standards adhered to by the manufacturing company. The standards adhered to include ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 and numerous electrical safety tests.

SAFETY STANDARDS

The E-One hair removal device was designed with a total of 12 stages of safety, meaning users have to confirm they are using the device safely. The implementation of these interactive safety precautions enables a higher level of safety in the comfort of your home.

AN OBSESSION WITH QUALITY – ISO 9001 AND 13485

For a company to produce a high quality product, they are required to adhere to the ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards. The implementation of these strict rules provides a level of traceability for both the E-One’s individual components and every E-One device sold. A high level of quality control is implemented on every component of the E-One device throughout the manufacturing process, which is followed by an array of stringent tests.
The implementation of these rules does have an impact on the sale price, as France Cosmetic would rather provide a guarantee of the utmost in terms of quality.

Katrina's Beauty Works Ipswich IPL VPL burns

Last week ( Thursday 3rd February) I went to Katrina’s Beauty Works in Riverlink Ipswich.
I have had IPL before and it was fine.
This time however the girl doing the treatment looked no older than 18, and she did not even have a pair of goggles for herself.

She did colour in the tattoo with a white eyeliner, but she then also proceeded to laser it, even though I had told her I was going to get electrolysis on there.
It hurt like hell and I made her stop.

She lowered the level and kept going.
But unfortunately the damage was already done.
The next day it was still tender.
The two days after the blisters appeared and the skin was peeling off.
It is now a week later and The sores are still extremely tender and still bleeding at times, I change the dressing daily and it has puss and even blood and ink from the tattoo on it.
I finally got a call back from the manager at head office today, after sending an email about the problems, and they want me to go see the store and show the manager there.
She told me it is acceptable for the girl to not have goggles and just keep her eyes closed.
I do not think she believed me that the burns are so bad.
